Rather than attempt to convert an old building, Amy and Hap Jordan started from scratch and built the ideal getaway. Both of the Jordans had experience in the hospitality business, Amy as a concierge for Marriot hotels, Hap as a chef in the restaurant run by Amy and her family.

With an architects help and a little input from other innkeepers the Jordans designed and built a luxurious Bed and Breakfast which features a two person jacuzzi and fireplace in every room, a beautiful breakfast nook in which every seat has a window view of the beautiful grounds, a large common room with a stone fireplace, a 24 hour pantry with snacks and soda available for guests, a garden complete with walking path, adirondack chairs, and the soothing sound of water tumbling over rocks.

Part of the big plan is taking care of the small details. Aside from the pantry for guest use, each room features a television/vcr combination and there are lots of movies to choose from. Forgot your shampoo? Don't worry, every room is stocked with an assortment of first class supplies. Add in elegant understated decor, a safe in every room a slider that opens into

the back yard and garden, and even a rubber duckie for the tub; and you'll agree that Jen and Hap have left no need unattended. In the event that you did need something though, the Jordans live in the building and are more than willing to accommodate. If you visit the Stone Hill Inn don't look for large crowds or public admissions. By design the Inn has only nine guest rooms and no public dining. The focus here is on private and peaceful. Rather than hosting noisy meetings or large groups, the Jordans have chosen to host planned elopements with no more than 4 witnesses; or couples looking for an intimate hideaway. You will not find a more relaxing destination than the Stone Hill Inn.
