The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State extends over 140 miles along the western half of the Cascade Mountains and from the Canadian border in the North, to the Mt. Rainier National Park in the South. The Forest offers a variety of recreation sites including picnic areas, scenic viewpoints, "water-sport" and "snow-play" areas, and hundreds of lakes, rivers, and streams. View the gorgeous scenery at your own pace. Mt. Baker hosts multiple hiking trails, from easy stretches to "experienced only" trekking.
With record snowfalls up to 1100 inches in one season-Mt Baker has the world record for snowfall. Come check out our slopes and trails for the best powder skiing and boarding! The Nooksack river is one of the last "wild" rivers in Washington State. Five species of wild salmon swim and flourish in its waters. Also available is trout and deep sea fishing area, consult the local fishing information here. The Forest also provides ample opportunities for hunting, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, river rafting, bird watching, berry picking, picnicking and general site seeing.
